RNA in situ hybridization is a valuable tool for evaluating mRNA expression levels in cells and tissues. It can be used for biomarker development, pharmacodynamic studies, patient stratification, analysis of tumor heterogeneity, and as an alternative to IHC when good antibodies are not available. We offer RNA CISH using RNAscope® (Advanced Cell Diagnostics). It can be run either manually or on the Ventana platform. Custom probes can be generated to evaluate your gene of interest. RISH™(Rapid In Situ Hybridization) is also available for select targets using the Biocare intelliPATH™ automated platform.
Fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) and chromogenic in situ hybridization (CISH) have many useful applications in drug discovery. We can use FISH or CISH to identify specific chromosomal translocations, aneuploidy, or gene copy number. These data can further be used for purposes of patient stratification, tumor or cell line characterization, evaluation of sample heterogeneity, and identifications of drivers of oncogenesis. FISH/CISH can be performed on FFPE, fresh frozen, or cytology samples using manual techniques or Ventana and Biocare automated platforms.
